Theme

I've begun the practice of assigning a theme to each year. This year's theme is somewhat meta: the foundation for the next 10 years.

This means I am focusing on the fundamental aspects:

1. Where we live
2. What we do
3. How we do it

New Home

Last year, we purchased an empty lot in Mar del Plata, Argentina. We are now in the process of creating a permacultural environment, which includes bioconstruction and reforestation. This project occupies a significant portion of my mental energy at the moment.

Our goal is to establish a serene and authentic space for Aldi, Dori, and myself where we can unwind and truly be ourselves.

On Writing Games

After a much-needed break of a month and a half, I have resumed work on my interactive storytelling mailing list.

This project aligns with the "what I do" and "how I do it" aspects, as it allows me to delve into what matters to me (the how) about interactive storytelling (the what).

I'm also hoping this endeavor will connect me with like-minded writers and developers, as I've grown weary of purely business-oriented conversations.

Dance of the Spirits

Hidden People Club has now become a two-person effort to release a small narrative game. We are working on this in our spare time, striving to avoid unnecessary stress.

This change reflects my disillusionment with the publisher-backed model that imposes a rigid business structure, restricts the games we can develop, and heightens the risk, requiring a game to be nearly complete before securing a deal.

Web Development

I am currently working part-time as a web developer for Beezwax Datatools.
